Even if we are unable to accept your insurance at this time, you can possibly get reimbursed by your insurance depending on your plan. You can request out-of-network reimbursement from some insurers by submitting a special receipt called a Superbill, which we can easily provide for you. You may also use a Health Savings Account to pay for sessions. Check with your insurance company for their policies on this.

Self Pay/No Insurance

Because our clinicians have varying degrees of education, training, and experience, the self-pay rates are specific to each clinician. An hour-long session typically includes 50 minutes of therapeutic interaction, and 10 minutes for record-keeping and transition between sessions. Your session could include any mix of modalities, depending on your needs and goals — check out the Services page to learn more about each. Our current self-pay rates are:

$150/hour

for sessions with Dr. Bree Shelby, Dr. Lauren Barks, or Ashley Wilson, LPA.

$130/hour

for sessions with Liv Langham, LPCC

$125/hour

for sessions with Mariana Mirasolo, LPCA or Ashley Sanders, LCSW

$100/hour

for sessions with Juanya’ Moss, LPCA

$90/hour

for sessions with Ashley Shea, LPA or Chris O’Dell, CSW

We believe that therapy is an investment in one’s self, and we recognize that not everyone can afford our full fees for services. If you are experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for a temporarily reduced fee. Please schedule a consultation to discuss this further. All fees for services rendered are due at the time of your appointment.

Assessment

Dr. Bree Shelby, Licensed Psychologist, Ashley Wilson, LPA, Ashley Shea, LPA, and Ashley Sanders, LCSW provide psychological assessment and evaluation services for various purposes. Psychological testing involves the administration of standardized measures to assist in assessing intellectual, emotional, academic, behavioral, and personality functioning.

Psychological assessment is unique compared to the cost for therapy services. A full evaluation includes an initial clinical interview, review of records (if applicable), testing time, scoring, integrating and interpreting gathered information and test results, report writing, and a feedback session. Given the unfortunately low reimbursement rates by most insurance panels for assessment services, in conjunction with the actual cost, time and work that go into completing a full assessment/evaluation, and that many insurance plans do not cover assessment services at all, we do not accept insurance for psychological assessments or evaluations. The total cost will vary depending on needs and includes the entire assessment process including the feedback session.

Examples of evaluations/assessments we provide and their fees, include:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder(s) evaluation/assessment - $300-600

  • ADD/ADHD assessment (under age 16) - $550

  • Diagnostic evaluation to assess for possible diagnoses including anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, OCD, etc. - $450 - $800

  • Full psychological evaluation required for certain medical procedures or disability/SSI benefits - $600 - $1,000

  • Personality assessment to examine characteristics that may be affecting relationships or employment - $350

  • Various other assessments that may not require a “full” evaluation - $150/hour

50% of the total fee is due at the time of the first initial clinical interview and the remaining 50% is due by the end of the feedback session. We may be able to accept installment payments over a particular timeframe with a credit card on file. If you have questions about financial options, please contact us.

Court/Legal Fees

It is our general policy that we do not testify in custody or other legal matters. If we are subpoenaed to court to testify regarding your or your child’s treatment/services, you are responsible for fees for our time, court proceedings, and travel. Legal consultation, report writing, correspondence, and telephone contact for any legal action/proceedings are billed at $300 per hour. Payment in full is required prior to releasing any letters or reports in legal matters. If called to testify in court, the fees are:

  • $300 per hour for court preparation, including conversations with attorneys, research, and report preparation

  • $300 per hour with a 4 hour minimum ($1,200 retainer due at time of subpoena) within a 30 mile radius

  • $300 per hour with a 8 hour minimum ($2,400 retainer due at time of subpoena) beyond a 30 mile radius

  • Mileage fees at the IRS rate

  • Overnight lodging, if necessary

  • $300 per hour for any reports/time spent on legal matters not requiring a subpoena (affidavits, letters, etc).
